With less than two minutes left in the fourth quarter, QB Kirk Cousins ​​led the Vikings offense for 56 yards and completed a game-winning touchdown pass to WR KJ Osborn. Cousins ​​is 10th among active NFL players in winning drives (21).

RB Dalvin Cook scored his 40th career rushing touchdown, tying Ted Brown for fourth all-time in franchise history for career rushing touchdowns.

It was also his 36th rushing touchdown since 2019, second in the NFL behind Derrick Henry’s 45.

Cook is now the fifth player in franchise history to exceed 5,000 career rushing yards and fifth all-time rushing (5,023).

S Josh Metellus notched his first career start at safety and recorded double-digit tackles, two passes defended and one interception.

He became the first safety since S Camryn Bynum (7/11/21 vs. Baltimore) to have 10+ tackles and a pick in their first career start.

RB Alexander Mattison netted a 6-yard touchdown run, which marked the seventh rushing touchdown of his career and fifth all-time against Detroit.

TE Ben Ellefson recorded his first career start and set a new career high in receiving yards (24), including a career 12-yard reception in the first quarter.

LB Jordan Hicks tied his career-high in tackles with 14, marking the third time in his career he’s accomplished the feat. He has now registered double-digit tackles in 23 games.

LB Eric Kendricks made his 99th career start as he passed LB Anthony Barr (98) and had 11 total tackles and two assists defended. This is his 29th game with at least 10 tackles.
