Coach Brey is one of America’s best coaches, and I can’t wait to cover him, his players and staff as they go through the best college basketball conference.

“He’s a play-by-play advertiser in the making. Its high energy styling is a great match for speed and intensity on the ice and the basketball court.

Simeone takes over the microphone from Jack Nolan, who retired at the end of the 2020-21 season and was a member of the Notre Dame men’s basketball broadcast team for 39 years, the last 15 of which as that voice play-by-play.

“As a colleague over the past five years, I have seen firsthand the immeasurable impact that Jack Nolan has had on this athletic department and it has been felt most deeply and passionately by the basketball team. masculine, ”Simeone said.

“I also learned a lot from him about how to be a professional broadcast and prepare for the job with a relentless work ethic. No one can replace Jack, but I will certainly do my best to follow his path.
