Telstra Wholesale uses ADVA FSP 150 to provide its fast mobile activation service

ADVA announced that Telstra Wholesale is leveraging ADVA FSP 150 technology to provide its Rapid Mobile Activation service.

The new features enable customers of Telstra Wholesale’s Communications Service Providers (CSPs) to rapidly provision Ethernet connectivity and offer higher levels of resiliency. Rapid Mobile Activation uses the wholesale part of the Telstra mobile network to enable instant revenue generation. Instead of weeks or months, CSPs can now deploy new services in days during fiber activation. Built on ADVA’s industry-leading solution with contactless provisioning, the service’s self-installation option could also help customers reduce operational costs by reducing on-site visits.

Using the power of our mobile network and the LTE capabilities of ADVA’s industry-leading solution, we enable CSPs to quickly and easily meet the growing demand for enterprise connectivity.

With Telstra Wholesale’s new offering, CSPs across Australia can install equipment in their customer premises using Mobile Ethernet. End users then have faster access to services while they wait for fiber to be provisioned. Once fiber is in place, mobile service becomes a fallback so that Layer 2 services are available even in the event of fiber failure. The new features are enabled by the ADVA FSP 150-XG300 series of 10 Gbps multilayer demarcation, aggregation and edge computing devices. The technology offers zero-touch provisioning at the network edge with fully automated activation and advanced security controls. It enables Telstra Wholesale to provide a differentiated service that provides a unique competitive advantageantage.
