Mizoram requires good network service, phone connectivity
Aizawl: Minister of Information and Communication Technology of Mizoram Robert Romawia Royte said Mizoram was in dire need of good internet service and telephone connectivity, an official statement said on Sunday.
Speaking at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 5G service launch in New Delhi on Saturday, Royte said Mizoram needed good internet service and phone connectivity given its remote location, the statement said.
“Mizoram needs better internet and phone services more than others because of its remoteness. The state still lags behind in road connectivity, rail and air service,” Royte said in the statement.
He said the state government has implemented a telecommunications infrastructure policy, which has helped employees in several ways.
He also urged the Center to expedite the sanctioning of pending projects under the ministries of communications and electronics and information technology.
