Launch of the Magnolia Network application and programming on July 15, 2021

Demonstration day Launch day! Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Network will officially launch on Thursday, July 15 after months of accumulated anticipation and a previous postponement. With the digital launch, more Magnolia content will make its way to the Discovery + line with an expanded list of Magnolia originals available to stream on the platform. In addition, Gaines will also be launching the Magnolia app which will include original series and over 150 hours of unscripted content on home, food, gardening, design, entrepreneurship and the arts.
In January 2022, the DIY Network will change its name to become Magnolia Network. The channel will include Magnolia Original content, including the first seasons of the new Gaines show Fixer Upper: Welcome Home, Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines, plus a new series Growing Floret, The Lost Kitchen, Homegrown, Family Dining and The Restoration Route with Clint Harp, as well as all Upper Fixator library that introduced the powerful couple. There will also be new seasons of DIY Network shows, and more DIY series content.
The Magnolia network was originally supposed to be launched last summer but had to be put on hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The network has taken this time to fill the lineup list and prepare for an even more robust launch in 2021.
“As sad as we collectively are for the year we’ve all been through together, we are grateful in so many ways that this has given us some time,” said Chip Gaines. “It felt like there had been a little hiatus that gave us the opportunity to really fill in a lot of the blanks, and we just couldn’t be more excited about the talent and the production companies that put their hearts into it. and their soul in so many of these shows and how proud we are.
Discovery + subscribers will be able to stream content for free on the Magnolia app, as well as Discovery + which costs $ 4.99 / month.
