Information for supporters: First bus journey on match day

This includes club subsidized matchday services (AG1, AG2 and AG3), meaning supporters can continue to connect journeys made on the public bus network to our matchday services.

Changes include:

  • Buses and mTickets will cost the same, but fans are strongly advised to pre-purchase mTickets as it greatly improves loading speed, allowing us to move more fans faster. All matchday services will remain cashless, with card payments only being accepted on the bus
  • All single tickets have dropped in price
  • A new ‘2-ride’ ticket can be used on two buses operated by First on any given day. It can be used as a return but need not be the same service. The 2-trip ticket is cheaper than existing First Day fares
  • Day tickets and group tickets have increased slightly, but will still be the best value for many. Day tickets allow unlimited rides, multiple changes and travel on different services. Group tickets allow up to five people to travel together on multiple journeys from just £2.12 per person

All match day services provide regular dedicated services to Ashton Gate. The AG1 and AG2 offer free parking and the AG3 is perfect for anyone living in Bristol or entering the city via Temple Meads, the bus station or driving through central Bristol (use the city center car parks) .

With increasingly regular services and stops at the stadium, they take the hassle out of traffic or parking on match days. Full details of price changes can be seen here [insert New Tickets, More Choice | Bristol, Bath and the West | First Bus], while matchday maps and times can be viewed at .

First Bus is also making a number of changes to the public bus network across Bristol from 30and January – including a new 23 service from the city center to Ashton Vale and changes to the 24 service which passes through Ashton Gate. Full details can be viewed in Bristol and surrounding service changes from 30 January 2022 | Bristol, Bath and the West | First bus.
