Flipkart Expands Warehouse Network in Gujarat to Support Local Vendors

Flipkart, owned by Walmart, announced the expansion of its supply chain in Gujarat with the addition of four new supply chain facilities to support local vendors in the state and meet the growing demand for e-commerce .

The new facilities are located in Ahmedabad and Surat, and are collectively spread over an area of ​​nearly 500,000 square feet, helping to create more than 5,000 direct and indirect local jobs in the state. This will further help strengthen support for nearly 35,000 local vendors in Gujarat to gain access to the national market while ensuring greater choice and faster deliveries for customers.

“With a strengthened supply chain presence in Gujarat, we will be able to further support MSMEs, Gujarat vendors and thousands of Kirana partners in the state, while creating thousands more local jobs.” said Kalyan Krishnamurthy, Group CEO, Flipkart.

The addition of new facilities will also increase Flipkart’s ability to serve more consumers, including thousands of thousands of new e-commerce customers.
